1. Rogi Sahayata Kendra at Baranagore State General hospital

Objectives of the programme:

On after careful consideration C.M.O.H, Barasat entrusted our N.G.O i.e. N.V.S.W.S. to act as Rogi Shayata Kendra at Baranagar State General Hospital from 8 A.M to 8 P.M. since 1st september 2015 to onwards. Accordingly we selected 5 candidates after interview as staffs of Rogi Shayata Kendra at Baranagar State General Hospital.

Everyday Large number of men, women and children assembled at the Hospital premises for treatment. Our Rogi Shayata Kendra helps them.

Their nature of help i.e.
1. Provides information sought by the visitors in a friendly manner.
2. Provides guidance to the visitors.
3. Receive complaints/suggestion/grievances & forward the said complaints/suggestion/ grievances to the Superintendent.
4. Provide knowledge on different NRHM schemes to the mothers on JSSK.
5. Form fill up of U.S.G and X-Ray.
6. RSBY/Swasthya Sathi registration, reception & processing.

2. Consumer Assistance Bureau at Barasat

Consumer Assistance Bureau at Barasat has been running since 23rdJune 2015 under direct guidance of N.V.S.W.S. in the interest of victim consumers.

It is a consumer help program by N.V.S.W.S. being a main partner of Consumer Affairs Dept. Govt. of W.B. The main activities are:

To help the victim consumers by filling up complaints in appropriate form. Because most of the consumers does not know how complain in proper way. After that take up responsibility on behalf of aggrieved consumers by initiating dispute redressal process up to final disposal of the case in the appropriate North 24Pgs. Dist. Forum/ State of National Commission. From the date of beginning and still now our CAB, Barasat total no. of cases filed u/s 12(1) (a) of consumer protection act. 1986 before Hon’ble president Consumer Forum, Barasat on behalf of victim consumers is 255. 114 cases out of 255 judgments passed by Consumer Forum are 144 in the interest of victim consumers. Aggrieved consumers have won 90 cases.

a) Facilitate filing of complaints in appropriate forum for redressal of grivances of aggrieved consumer.

b) Take up responsibility on behalf of aggrieved consumers by initiating dispute redressal process upto final disposal of the disputes in the appropriate North 24 Paraganas District Forum / State or National Commission. This Shall include writing the plant, representing the consumer etc.

3. Swami Vivekananda Computer Literacy Mission

Our organization, NVSWS successfully running a computer training centre at our office premises with 5 computers since 2013 for the needy students who cannot pay for high cost computer training outside. We provide training from class 4 to graduate students by our trained teachers. We charge very low cost for the computer basic and advance training. Many of our students have got jobs by our computer training. Most of the students are from poor family and their family blessing us as by our training their son/daughter doing jobs and helping the family.

4. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao

We have been entrusted with our N.G.O Noapara Vivekananda Social Welfare Society (NVSWS) for awareness on save the Girl Child in the Hooghly District. Accordingly our staffs along with Hooghly District Health staffs started awareness program ensure the Girl Child, P.C.P.N.D.T. report, U.S.G. Clinic visit, in Arambag, Sreerampur, Baidyabati & Dankuni Municipalities under jurisdiction of Hooghly District from Feb.2016 to Sept. 2016. Large number of people participated in awareness program.

P.C.P.N.D.T. report and awareness program to save the Girl Child in the four Municipalities under Hooghly District as follows as per program.

As per agreement our N.G.O staffs along with Health Official of Hooghly District visited U.S.G. Clinic for P.C.P.N.D.T. report, ward programme on save the Girl Child from Feb.2016 to Sept. 2016 are given below as per proforma. Large number of men, women, and college students attended the programme in the Hooghly District.
